The course is the first of four British Canoeing safety and training courses, with the core focus on this foundation level being in taking you from a dependent to an increasingly independent role on the water. The course gives you the opportunity to explore and implement a range of effective strategies and find solutions that should help you reach a level of independence as a member of a group within a flat-water environment.
Our courses are run in small groups of up to 6, however an extended group of up to 12 participants with two instructors is common. Our providers aim to have you leave the course with a heightened understanding of up to date rescue techniques, improved confidence in your own abilities and hopefully having learnt something new!
