Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) have been proven to save lives, and therefore have become an invaluable addition to a workplace. This course is set to provide the essential skills required by an AED operator and gives candidates the confidence to know what to do in an emergency.

Defibrillators are very simple to operate and no previous training is required to attend this course. The course is a continuous assessment by the trainer and upon completion will renew your existing qualification for three years.

Our experienced course providers will inspire and promote learning by building upon your expertise and confidence by involving you in realistic and hands on situations and simulated practical scenarios.

Course Content:

Areas covered on this course may include but aren’t limited to:

• The role of the first aider
• The managing of an emergency first aid situation
• Communication and casualty care
• The management of chest pains and heart attacks
• The theoretical knowledge of an AED
• Familiarising yourself with an AED
• Operating an AED
• Treatment of an unconscious casualty
• Basic life support procedures and casualty resuscitation
