Our two-day Sports First Aid Training Course is setup to provide essential and advanced skills in first aid for those operating or involved in a sports motivated environment. The course is ideal for those taking part in, assisting or coaching sports groups and clubs on a regular basis.

Our experienced course providers will inspire and promote learning through a wide range of practical activities and continuous observation so that you have a chance to put what you’ve you have learnt into practice, leaving our course confident and able to act should a situation arise.

Course Content:

Areas covered on this course may include but aren’t limited to:

• The role of the first aider
• Primary and secondary assessments
• Advanced airway management
• Basic life support procedures
• Operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Identification and management of suspected spinal Injuries
• The identification and treatment of choking casualties
• Treatment of trauma, wounds, bleeds, head, chest and crush injuries
• Identification and treatment of extremity injuries
• Identification and treatment of head injuries
• Treatment of other medical conditions
• Rules and regulations of best practice

What to Bring:

• Clothing suitable for both indoors, outdoors and cold conditions
• Appropriate footwear for uneven and potentially wet surfaces

This course will run at a number of suitable venues throughout the year, and is available upon request to groups by simply contacting us beforehand.
