Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health

Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition either themselves or a family member, friend or colleague. In fact, during 2018, it was recorded that over 16 million people in the UK had experienced mental illness, that’s 1 in 4 people!

Our half-day Mental Health First Aid course has been designed to help people both recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health and how to be supportive of those affected by it. The course aims to reduce the associated stigma, increase the provision of care for those suffering and provide a great stepping stone into the topic of first aid for mental health.

Our experienced course providers will inspire and promote learning through a wide range of practical activities and continuous observation, leaving the course confident and with the skills to start a difficult conversation, listen attentively and signpost a person towards professional help.
