6 Hour First Aid Course

The thought of performing first aid is a widely daunting prospect, especially when the subject is a child. Our Paediatric First Aid Training course will give you the hands-on experience and knowledge required to react with diligence and confidence should a situation arise.

The course focuses on emergency scenarios that those looking after young children and infants could face. This course is recommended for those working in nursery schools, preschools, youth organisations and care providers of children at home.

Our experienced course providers will inspire and promote learning by building upon your expertise and confidence by involving you in realistic and hands-on situations and simulated practical scenarios.

Course Content:

Areas covered on this course may include but aren’t limited to:

• The role of the first aider
• Primary and secondary assessments
• Baby and child basic life support
• Identification and treatment of choking
• The causes of unconsciousness
• Hypovolemic shock
• Treatment of trauma, wounds and bleeds
• The treatment of fractures, sprains and dislocations
• The treatment of burns and scalds
• The identification and treatment of eye and ear conditions
• Treatment of common medical conditions
• Treatment of other medical conditions
• Rules and regulations of best practice

Price Per Person:

£100.00 per person, discounts available for group bookings.

What to Bring:

• Clothing and footwear suitable for an indoor environment

Our one-day Emergency First Aid at Work Course is set up to help people who desire training in emergency first aid. Suited for nominated first aiders working in low-risk environments, upon completion you will gain a certificate sufficient for your workplace valid for 3 years.
