Mountain & Hotel Resort Golte, Slovenia Lloyd Langford Expedition Training

The Mountain Ski Resort of Golte are located at an altitude between 1,280 and 1,576 metres above sea level and stretches over 50 hectares. It covers more than 12 kilometres of well-organised ski slopes, where skiers and snowboards can enjoy these wonderful wintertime activities. Due to the varied selection of ski slopes of various complexities, the Mountain and Hotel Resort of Golte is loved by both experienced skiers and beginners alike. There are 5 ski lifts, (3 chairlifts, 2 drag lifts) and a conveyor belt at the children’s polygon.

The ski resort is accessible by coach via a road with a panoramic view or by the Golte cable car, which brings you all the way to the ski slopes in only 8 minutes offering spectacular views of the Savinja Valley along the way. Golte has become one of our favourite resorts in South Eastern Slovenia, small, yes; but throughout recent investment and modernisation it has retained a truly friendly and amazing atmosphere, loved by locals and esteemed alpine associations, you'll find fantastic dining and relaxing facilities, little to no queues and well groomed pistes sometimes all to yourself!

Due to its intimate size the Mountain and Hotel Resort of Golte maintains a smaller number of accommodation options in comparison to other resorts. The main point of stay is the 4* Hotel Golte, situated at the base of the resort, boasting a number of bars, restaurants and wellness centres catering for your every need during your stay. For those that are looking for a more intimate stay, there are a number of apartment booking options available situated deep into the hills alongside the hotel and of course the Mozirska Koča Mountain House, a traditional alpine bed and breakfast for those that love the alpine feel just a short 10 minute walk from the base of the resort.

Built in 2010 and situated near the upper station of the Žekovec cable car at 4,626 feet above sea level and an ideal starting point for skiers, the 4* Wellness Hotel Golte boasts amazing views over the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and the Savinja Valley below. The Golte Apartments

Situated near the upper station of the Žekovec cable car at 4,626 feet above sea level and an ideal starting point for skiers, the Golte Apartment complex boasts 32 comfortable apartments and offers you a cozy escape from the modern world and more intimate stay upon the mountain. Only a stones throw away from Hotel Golte with all the wellness facilities and dining options available, these modern apartments allow for self catered family or peer groups to take a different culinary approach to their holiday.

Mozirska Koča Mountain House is one of the oldest mountain huts in all of Slovenia, providing a rich offer of services, traditional alpine culinary delights and accommodation for those wishing to stay overnight on the mountain. Mozirska Koča translates to 'Hut of Mozirje', referring to the town of Mozirje that sits at the base of the mountain in the shelter of the Kamnik - Savinjska alps.

As of January 2021 we are not currently using Mozirska Koča Mountain House as a base of accomodation for either our Standard or PLUS packages for private snow sports holiday bookings to the Mountain Ski Resort of Golte, however we hope to be able to do so for the 2022 winter season.

Dabaneja Ski School:

Dabaneja is the official ski school and snowboard instruction provider for all Lloyd Langford Expedition Training courses. Founded by David De Costa, a former Slovenian National Team Member and one of Slovenias highest regarded ski instructors. David and his team maintain a wealth of knowledge and first hand experience in helping people take their first nervous steps to training esteemed alpine champions for racing success.

As part of our packages that cover your stay at the Mountain Resort of Golte, the option to receive personal instructional sessions from the Dabaneja Ski School for your group is available, and can be booked both during your initial booking and up to a month before your holiday.

Après & Wellness Facilities:

Awaiting you at 1410 metres above sea level, the Wellness Hotel Montis is extensively equipped with a state of the art relaxation and wellness spa, providing visitors with a full range of cold pressed and oiled massages, steam, Finnish, bio and infrared sauna therapies, meditation facilities and intense water experiences, you’ll be able to relax under ambient showers, soothing lights and the warm embrace of the quiet and clean alpine environment.

The wellness facilities of the hotel are open to all hotel guests, and available to apartment and mountain house accommodation bookings subject to a small surcharge.

Along with wellness facilities the mountain boasts a number of social venues to enjoy a drink and the warm atmosphere with friends; loved by many for the energetic après vibe, the warm log cabin bar of Źlajfer at the top of the Družinska run is a perfect opportunity to warm up, meet locals and share hearty food during the day, but for evening the Golte Ice Bar, hotel lounge and of course the Mozirska Koča Mountain House open their doors to welcome you in.

Booking:

As no two resorts, groups, packages or booking are the same, we are unable to present a set or estimate price up front.

If you would like a quote for your group, simply use our contact form below to get in touch; inform us which resort you'd like to visit, your group numbers, respective dates and the needs and requirements of your group and we’ll advise you on the best options available, however to progress with a booking we may need significantly more information than you can fit in one message box, therefore we will also provide you with an electronic form to access covering everything from group passport numbers and date of births to accommodation and ski school requests.

Once received we'll return a provisional booking form for you to check over with your personal quote, covering each item of your booking and agree a where necessary to a payment plan.

Once signed and returned, your booking will go live as soon as we receive your deposit.

We may have to contact you a few times during the run up to your holiday to keep you updated, however to ensure you can sit back, relax and count down the days until your winter adventure knowing everything is covered, we are available at any time to discuss your booking or make any alterations nessessary.

Notes:

If you wish to stay for any additional days in Slovenia these will be need to be arranged independently. Travel to Slovenia’s capital city Ljubljana can be sought from the airport during the day and takes roughly an hour.

Lloyd Langford Expedition Training Limited provide all attendees with public liability insurance and accidental injury cover up to £5,000,000 during the holiday, however the risks associated with snow sports and outdoor activities are your own and through booking and accepting our terms and conditions you take responsibility for these risks. You are also advised to purchase your own travel insurance policy for the duration of the course, covering you for winter sports, personal equipment and cancellation.
