When travelling with Lloyd Langford you’re in the most professional and capable of hands. As group travel and adventure specialists, we provide opportunities to bring your young people to the most incredible and awe-inspiring designations across all of Europe. We work incredibly closely with your school, teachers, leadership teams and boards to design and facilitate the most incredible of school skilling experiences. This ensures your needs, expectations and requirements are met and exceeded.
To take some of the organisational work off your hands, we provide you with a dedicated trip manager as standard on all of our package tours. Intended to support you with the practical and logistical arrangements of your trip, they’ll provide extensive advice and guidance. They’ll be with you every step of the way.
Well trained and attentive to your needs and requirements, our trip managers will be the go-to contact for all party leaders throughout the build-up and duration of your trip. With you on the mountain they are the bridge between the resorts, hotels, ski schools, transport providers and all other third parties involved.
All trip managers will be familiar and well acquainted with your chosen resorts and destination, and where possible be a member of the Lloyd Langford team from our offices in Sheffield or Slovenia. On occasion and where there is a group of sufficient size, a second trip manager or additional company representative will be present on site. Assigned primarily to onsite hospitality, welfare checks and present on the pistes, our second reps will ensure any and all requests or queries are relayed to the trip manager immediately in your interests.
In the face of potential budget restraints and in the wake of the global pandemic and its effect on the education of students, international ski trips may be seen more like a getaway than a valuable life experience. At Lloyd Langford, we believe skiing is not just for those looking for a holiday. Our ski trips provide young people with challenging and unfamiliar experiences. Students are pushed to experience life outside of their comfort zones. This tests and develops their physical and social skills, this helps mould their individual sense of identity and provides them with skills they can apply to their studies when they get back home.
There are a number of channels party leaders can use to raise awareness and highlight the value of such experiences to young people. We provide the tools and resources for your team leader to encourage your senior leadership team to give it their stamp of approval. Inspire your students to give something new and exciting a go, and of course, win the trust and confidence of the parents.
Resources include but aren’t limited to:
We also understand the importance of reassuring parents and gaining their confidence that their children are in safe hands, it is undoubtedly the cornerstone of any successful international trip. As part of your booking, we commit to a presentation evening at your school or college covering who we are, our safety management systems, your itinerary/overall plan, and answer any questions parents may have.
We understand the preconception that trips of such size and logistical scale are foreshadowed by the inevitable endless paperwork, back and forth, time-consuming stress. We don't want all the excitement of your school ski trip rained upon by a deluge of documents, all printed, bound and stored away in binders.
Therefore, as standard within our packages, trip leaders are automatically subscribed to an online system where you’ll be presented with all relevant documents pertaining to your trip. This includes an evolving e-itinerary and communications portal with kindly reminders and prompts for data well in advance, allowing the preparation for your trip to remain as low key and unobtrusive to your daily operations as possible
