We have an incredible team of instructors, all selected for their experience, dedication to their chosen disciplines, and their standout passion for helping people develop on the slopes. Over the course of the week, they’ll spend time observing where you’re at, building a program to help you develop at pushing you to sharpen up your turns and take to the steeper slopes, all at a comfortable pace.
Our course is based at the Slovene Mountain Resorts of Golte and Maribor, considered by many winter sports lovers to be the most beautiful and technical ski centres in Slovenia. Over the course of the week, you’ll have approximately 100km of well-developed pistes to choose from, fantastic restaurants and bars to dine in and fitness and wellness centres to rest those familiar aches and pains as well as relax.
Price (£):
£1,199.00 per person, discounts available for group bookings and payment plans available.

Lloyd Langford Expedition Training Limited provides all attendees with public liability insurance and accidental injury cover up to £5,000,000 during the course, however you are encouraged to purchase your own travel insurance policy for the duration of the course, covering you for winter sports, personal equipment and cancellation.
Day 1:
Upon arrival in Slovenia, you’ll be met by the team at Ljubljana Airport where you’ll be taken for lunch to experience a traditional Slovene meal. This provides a great opportunity for everybody to initially get to know each other, discuss the coming week, and enjoy some great food. From here, we’ll travel to the small town of Sostanj on the outskirts of Velenje to Turisticna Pirnat, your home for the week.
After having the afternoon to refresh, relax and explore your surroundings, a series of afternoon workshops will run focusing on information gathering, discussing your experience, goals and aspirations for the week.
Day 2:
The second day is all about suiting up, getting out on the slopes and letting everything flood back to you. Through a mixture of general boarding and specific coaching sessions, you’ll receive both one-to-one and group time with our instructors who’ll spend a great deal of time observing you, analysing your performance and building a picture of your skill set.
In the late afternoon, your time will be yours. David will remain on the slopes to continue instruction, however, you’re free to enjoy the freedom of developing by yourself, measuring your own progress and calling it a day when you’re ready.
It is important when learning new skills and pushing yourself to feel comfortable and have the opportunities to relax. Both resorts boast fully equipped spas, gyms, bars and restaurants for you to relax and enjoy the company of new friends.
Day 3-7:
From day three onwards the plan will vary depending upon the pace at which you are developing. Our instructors will continue to choose the best ways to help advance your skills over the course of the week, including morning/evening photographic and video analysis sessions of your performance.
It is almost guaranteed that during an intense development week you will experience significant fatigue and muscle aches. This is not only common but a natural process due to muscle groups being used intensively and developing. Therefore during the mid-week point, you’ll have the opportunity to take a day off the slopes and head to Lake Bled for a change of scene and cultural experience. We can also book a group ‘beer spa’, wellness and individual massages experiences. This is not mandatory for intermediate courses.
Day 8:
All good things must come to an end, and we’ll head as a group to Ljubljana Airport to say our goodbyes. We aim to have you leave your time with us having mastered the basics and being independent on blue slopes, buzzing to continue boarding and marking the days until the next season.
The winters in Slovenia are incredibly cold and can be harsh, therefore, we advise coming equipped and dressed accordingly for temperatures of 0c and substantially below both on and off the slopes. Appropriate footwear for rough terrain, deep snow and ice are also essential.
To be suitably equipped for the course you’ll need to bring thermals, a ski jacket and salopettes (or reasonable apparel substitutes), gloves, socks and eyewear such as goggles or sunglasses.
We can provide boards and boots for each member on the course, however, hire costs are not included in the overall course price. To hire equipment from us, please get in contact a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the course.
We are able to provide flexible and bespoke payment plans to meet your needs, simply get in contact to discuss your desire to do so with a member of our team.
If you wish to stay for any additional days in Slovenia this will need to be arranged independently. Travel to Slovenia’s capital city Ljubljana can be sought from the airport during the day and takes roughly an hour.
