We pride ourselves on proving a truly immersive and cultural experience for those who join us on our adventures. Our trips cater to all, and we want everyone to enjoy their time with us. We will discuss as a group what everyone is comfortable with and match routes to your skill levels. We also offer opportunities for those more experienced to challenge themselves throughout the trip, so there will be something for everyone.
Book with us in a group of 8 or more and you will receive a free bike transfer from the UK to Slovenia and back!
Price Per Person:
£950 per person, group bookings will be offered at a reduced rate of £910 per person. If you wish to stay for any additional days in Slovenia these will need to be arranged independently.
Day 1:
When you arrive in Slovenia, you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to the sunny town of Velenje. We will discuss the needs and wants of the group before settling down for the night.
Day 2:
Our first ride of the trip! We will leave our accommodation and make our way to the Savinja Valley. This is a beautiful valley with a river that has lovely springs and waterfalls. We will first take a ride in the area, absorbing all the scenery. Then we will meet for a picnic lunch and for those who are up for it, we will take a dip in the river. After another ride, we will meet up to return to our accommodation where we will have a refreshing drink and a traditional Slovene meal. In the evening, there is a chance for you to go swimming or visit the spa before turning in for the night.
Day 3:
Today we will transfer to the gorgeous alpine glacial valley, the Logar Valley, where you will see some of the most picturesque views in all of Europe. You will be riding through stunning stretches of unspoilt nature, the mountains and waterfalls will take your breath away. We will meet up for lunch before journeying on to find the natural spring water tap. After our ride is over, we will drop into either the Logar Valley centre or a local mountain hut for group drinks before retiring to our accommodation.
Day 4:
Time to get moving! Today we will transfer to the small town of Bled. Here we will be riding by the beautiful crystal blue Lake Bled, which is something straight out of a fairytale. There are many angles to enjoy the landscape from and we will be experiencing everything the lake has to offer to tourists. After well-deserved ice cream, we will cycle out towards the stunning Vintgar gorge for a quick walk around. After a long day, you will have a chance to swim in the lake or take a stroll around the area.
Day 5:
Today we will be packing up our swim kits and heading to Lake Bohinj. There is a 12km circle around it that we will be cycling around, taking in the views on the way. After a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters, we will have some lunch. We will then turn back to Bled to enjoy our final night in this area.
Day 6:
The mountain town of Bovec is close by, which is where we will be transferred to today. Bovec is home to the popular Triglav National Park and the hidden gem that is the River Soča.
First, we will have a ride around Bovec to take in the beauty of the town. More advanced riders and those who want to test themselves will be able to take on an expert ride across Vršič pass. This is a mountain pass at a high elevation of 1,611 metres, the highest pass in Slovenia, so it is not for the faint-hearted. For others, we will be riding out to Triglav National Park which is Slovenia’s only national park and its largest protected area. You will be able to see for yourself why this is one of Slovenia’s most important natural treasures. After this, we will take a short journey to the River Soča, one of the most gorgeous rivers in Europe, and then return to Bovec.
Day 7:
This is our final day, and we will be going on our last rides in Bovec. You will also have the option to do some kayaking or hiking to have a bit of variance from the week’s activities.
As the trip comes to an end, we will take you to the airport and say our final goodbyes.
As we will be going for a swim in some of the lakes over the week, you will need to bring your swim kits with you. You will also need appropriate clothes for biking and hiking. If you wish to participate in kayaking at the end of the week you will also need warm clothes as the temperature of the river water can be incredibly cold.
You will need a bike, and if you are not booking with us in a group of 8 you will need to make your own arrangements for your equipment to be transferred. We have access to discounted bike hire in Slovenia if needed.
Lloyd Langford Expedition Training Limited provide all attendees with public liability insurance and accidental injury cover up to £5,000,000 during the trip, however, the risks associated with outdoor activities are your own and through booking and accepting our terms and conditions you take responsibility for these risks.
