Our Intermediate Board Development course has been designed around creating a personal 6 day program to take your existing skill set on the snow and develop it considerably over your week with us through expert coaching.
The course is run by the former Slovene National Team Member and Director for SK Velenje David De-Costa and his team. David oversees all the instruction and coaching throughout this courses duration. David is one of Slovenia’s highest regarded ski coaches, sought after all over Europe and with years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in training people to excel and perform at a high level.
Our course is based at both the Slovene Hotel and Mountain Resort of Rogla and Golte, luxurious resorts with well developed and extensive slopes, restaurants, bars and wellness centres to rest those aches and pains, and relax with new friends. Both resorts are considered by many winter sports lovers to be some of the most beautiful and technical centres in Slovenia, providing the necessary challenges for you to face and hone your skills.
So if you’re looking to sharpen up your turns, take the steeper slopes and style moves then this course is for you.
Arriving in Slovenia you’ll be greeted at Ljubljana Airport and immediately taken out for lunch to experience a traditional Slovene meal. This provides a great opportunity for everybody to initially get to know each other, discuss the coming week and enjoy some great food. From here we’ll travel to the Hotel and Mountain Resort of Rogla, where our relaxed itinerary allows for generous time to settle in. A number of late afternoon workshops will run to help our coaches build up a picture of you, the group, your goals and aspirations for the week.
The second day is all about suiting up, and getting out there for a day on the slopes. Our coaches will devote a great deal of time observing you and the group, analysing your performance and developing your personal plan for the week ahead.
From day three onwards the plan will vary dependant upon the group and the pace in which everybody is developing. Our coaches will continue to choose the best ways to help you advance your skills over the course of the week, including morning photographic and video analysis sessions of your performance to help push you to excel.
All good things must come to and end, and on day seven we’ll head as a group to Ljubljana Airport and say our goodbyes. We aim to have you leave your time with us with improved ski control, increased confidence and excitement to continue skiing or boarding with great excitement.
As an attendee on this course you’ll be met and dropped off at Ljubljana Airport in time to catch a flight back to the United Kingdom. If you wish to stay for any additional days in Slovenia these will be need to be arranged independently. Travel to Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana can be sought from the airport during the day and takes roughly an hour.
